This is a 5 Cr milled plate construction EPE, landing on a flange OD and pipe. It was designed to enclose an elbow with a thinning wall from 3D scan data. The plate is designed in such a way that minimizes plate material and the overall weight of the enclosure while avoiding an impact testing requirement.
